The 2013 MISS USA® Competition will air LIVE from Las Vegas on NBC Sunday, June 16 (9 p.m. ET) from PH Live in Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
Miss Lousiana USA and Teen USA 2013
Kristen Girault will represent Louisiana at the Miss USA 2013 pageant, state pageant officials announced Saturday.
The former Miss Florida Parishes USA was crowned Miss Louisiana USA 2013 Saturday night in Lafayette.
The Miss USA pageant is co-owned by Donald Trump and NBC Universal. The winner of the national pageant represents the United States at the Miss Universe pageant, also co-owned by Trump and NBC. Both pageants will be broadcast live on the NBC television network.
Three Miss Louisiana USA titleholders have been crowned Miss USA.
Miss Louisiana USA 1958 Eurlyne Howell was third runner-up at the Miss Universe 1958 pageant.
Miss Louisiana USA 1961 Sharon Brown was fourth runner-up at the Miss Universe 1961 pageant.
Miss Louisiana USA 1996 Ali Landry was voted Most Photogenic at the Miss Universe 1996 pageant, where she finished in the Top 6.
Girault succeeds Miss Louisiana USA 2012 Erin Edmiston of Lafayette, who finished in the top 16 at the Miss USA 2012 pageant.
Bailey Hidalgo was crowned Miss Louisiana Teen USA 2013.
The former Miss Camellia City Teen USA will represent Louisiana at the Miss Teen USA pageant next year. In recent years, the teen pageant has been webcast live from The Bahamas.
She finished in the Top 10 at the Miss Louisiana Teen USA 2012 pageant.
She succeeds Miss Louisiana Teen USA 2012 Marlee Henry.
